Using web forms instead of emails
"Hi I'd like information on your product, Bob"
Have you ever received an email that looks like the line above? This is what I call a one-liner-from-Bob. If you've received an email like this from someone that contacted you from your website it's because you are not using forms when you request contact from a visitor.
When you have a form you can present fields for the information you are interested in. Maybe it's just name, email and a drop down for the product selection. That little drop down alone might help you deal with an inquiry more efficiently.
