Life After Katimavik:
After a great eleven months as Katimavik group leader, I decided to move back to Ontario. I left Vancouver on June 15th 1986 and travelled 25 000 km all across Canada, a mare usque ad mare. Nine weeks later, I started working again, returning to my first passion: teaching. I taught till 1992 when my mother died, which triggered major changes in my life, such as a return to University studies in the social work program, and a move to Sudbury. Such studies allowed me to work at Collège Boréal as a counsellor and a teacher till March 15th 2001 when I was diagnosed with Transverse myelitis. Since that day, I have been off work, keeping busy with exercices at the local YMCA, journaling, resting, reading, and pondering about the future.
